PAST AND ON GOING PROJECTS
Personal letter from Chester Simon:
In September of 2004, Hurricane Ivan swept over our Caribbean taking 80% of Grenada‘s infrastructure with it devastating the spice and tourist industries, killing over 40 of the tiny nation‘s 113‘000 populace and leaving 90% of the nation‘s 28‘000 homes ruined.
After these many years, the Spice Island, famed for its nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, ginger and clove is still struggling to put her self back together.
My charitable work started just after hurricane Ivan, without going into greater detail, I sought assistance and found it. First one container was filled and shipped to Grenada and than another.
I overlooked the distribution personally on the Island and have since then continued the project “God help Grenada”.

One of my main concerns was the quality of the health and emergency care for children and also automobile accident victims in the country as the country’s healthcare system is restricted in the medical treatment it can provide.
The Grenada Promotions Center Switzerland’s mission is to generate funds and to create awareness programs on health issues in partnership with the hospitals in Grenada. I believe that every child deserves the best treatment available, no matter what their medical problem may be and thus I also seek to create a funding scheme for the assisting of children in need of medical attention.
